Mormon temple planned for Calgary
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon church) has announced plans to build five new temples around the world, including one in Calgary. The others are to be built in Philadelphia, greater Kansas City, Rome, and Cordoba, Argentina.
The Calgary temple will the third in the province, after Edmonton and Cardston, and the eighth in Canada.
Mormonism presents itself as a Christian denomination, but in fact it is not. Its doctrines and beliefs differ from biblical Christianity in fundamental and essential aspects. The Mormon church is not a Christian church. Theologically and historically, Mormonism is a cult of Christianity.
