Most of the people who sided with the expelled left the congregation in the wake of all of this, as I suspect those reinstated will do.

As a point of interest, Pastor Desjardins is actually an Anglican priest, not a Lutheran minister at all.

So, why exactly, do they wish to continue under such leadership, and in that fellowship, if the congregation hasn’t yet pressed for her removal as pastor?

And why go to a SECULAR COURT to resolve a dispute among professing Christians?

“The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?” — I Cor 6:7

I must confess, I first thought it was Pro-homosexual lobbyists that were expelled. This would be within the Biblical scope of genuine Church discipline. (An oft-overlooked doctrine.)
