Hindus seek fatwa declaring India a friend of Islam

Leaders of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP, or World Hindu Council) dispatched a letter to several Muslim groups asking them to issue a fatwa declaring India a friend of Islam against which jihad should not be waged.  They also included another, even more bizarre, request.
