Jamaican airport security says: It wasn’t our fault
MBJ Airports Ltd. Is the company responsible for airport security at Sangster International Airport, where earlier this week an armed man got on board a CanJet airplane and held passengers and crew hostage for several hours before being arrested.
I use the word “responsible” loosely, for the company has issued a statement saying they didn’t do anything wrong.
The company responsible for security at the Jamaican airport where a would-be hijacker evaded detection and boarded a Canadian flight with a gun says its security team followed the proper procedures.
[...]
“Our unarmed security team reacted properly and followed their procedures . . . when confronted by an armed intruder,” said the statement. But the statement does not mention the fact that the gunman was able to get through security screening and board the CanJet plane on Sunday.
I guess that slipped their minds.

Talk about an inconvenient truth!
